Our Client a major pipeline installation company, required a new Head Office facility in Leigh, Lancashire. This comprised a two-storey building that provided office facilities together with a warehouse to service plant and store materials. The extensive site was a former Victorian tip, adjacent to Pennington Flash Country Park. Water extenuation works together with a flood valve system were required to allow all surface water to discharge into the river. Significant abnormal foundation works were required because of building on a tip.
Major external works were required to provide yard facilities for the business together with storage ground remediation and staff car parking. Originally over budget significant pre-construction value engineering was carried out to bring the project down to the required value.
